Hello all, glad to finally be a member. I'm 34 years old, male, in the US. Idiopathic adult-onset, going on 11 years. Complex partials, tonic clonics, night seizures, visual migraines and vertigo. Both hemispheres, multiple frontotemporal foci. Lacosamide has been the miracle drug for me, reducing clusters to the occasional CPS breakthrough. On the opposite end was lamictal, which was [shudders]. Depakote + topiramate also gave some unusual side effects (long black outs, voices in my head). Have not gone more than 3 months without a seizure of some kind. Hoping to turn that around this year. Also obsessed with the science behind this disease. Good to meet you all.

Hi Folken_from_Mars, Thank you for posting and for sharing your experience. It sounds like you’ve been through a lot and we also hope that you will be seizure free for the remainder of the year and many more to come!
