My story

Hi! My name is Lace Tarectecan. I’m from the Philippines. I just want to share my story and raise awareness as I experienced my conditions before. Advocacy: Dyslexia and Epilepsy awareness Story: I struggled as a child from epilepsy and you have no idea how painful it is for my parents to see me struggling from each episode after attack. I was raised by my over protective family, I was only able to cut tomatoes, potatoes, be a help meet in the kitchen when I was a teenager, when the doctor finally cleared me from epilepsy. I was bullied as a child as it took me years to be able to read as I was diagnosed as dyslexic. I overcame that too but I am not a fast reader as all of you. Yes, I have learning disability; each lesson is a struggle for me to understand. I hope you understand if I ask a lot of questions sometimes because each lesson takes a process for me to get. Since I know my difficulty, I persevere until I grasp it. I do all things double time. I study so hard until I comprehend the lessons and what I am reading. I am cannotfully express myself as I am not that confident of what I am saying..... And now I’m planning to be an advocate of Epilepsy and Dyslexia. As what I had been experienced before was tragic and years passed by, I overcome it.
