New to epilepsy

Hello, I had a couple seizures about 10 years ago which was put down to alcohol (I had been drinking both times). I spent the next 10 years ‘normal’ or so I thought! I had the odd ‘moment’ which I would either zone out, forget what I was saying, where I was going, find it difficult to hold a conversation etc, these would only last a few seconds and I would have that feeling you get when you are about to pass out...everything seems far away and unusually slow. Anyway on 29th October I had another seizure I had been out with friends and started to fit in bed, passed out after and felt awful the next day. My neurologist said he believes I have JME and have had it for some time. I have had several tests which I’m waiting for results on. My question is does anyone else have ‘episodes’ where their eyes roll into the back of the head, so there is absolutely no pupils only white showing and eyes flicker extremely fast? This happens a lot, I don’t remember it and have extremely red eyes for a few seconds afterwards. I don’t fall over or anything and they usually happen when I’m tired.

Hello. I have only ever had one grand mal seizure, but I have heard of these eye episodes happening -- my neurologist has described them. I know that there are "eye seizures" and they are somewhat similar to what you have described. Please talk to your neurologist about these episode. Good luck!
