Pre-seizure

My now 5 year old had her first big seizure(apparently had focals for awhile unknown to us) in which she ended up in status seizing for more than 20 minutes. Two rescue meds were used. She spent a night in the hospital. Unfortunately not alot of info including actual diagnosis was given. She showed more than 50 seizures in an hour of EEG. No abnormalities on MRI or CT. She was put on keppra. Yesterday she had a complex partial lasting under a minute. Here's the thing: she was fatigued, irritable, and soiling/wetting herself before the big one and is doing this again. I have only found info. Saying these are symptoms of seizures but my concern is does it mean she may end up having another big one? Or could it just be she's having more partials/focals than we know about? Should we be contacting neurology? I feel awful that we did not get enough info.

Epilepsy treatment isn't a

Epilepsy treatment isn't a one and done thing, it takes some follow up. It takes time to get the parent initial info and it takes time to get the right medication and dose. A medication may stop the worst seizures from happening, it may not help for some people, it may stop all seizures or it may just shorten them - but there's a process they go through to determine this. Call the neurology office and get instructions for when the next available appt can be made, how to handle continued possible seizures, if they want to change a medication dose, when another check with EEG is a good idea, etc...
