My 3 year old was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy!
Sat, 01/24/2009 - 02:24Hi, I am new to this. I am so glad to have found this website. My son is 3 yrs old. He had his first seizure while sleeping, and he vomited afterwards. I heard that there are some special pillows for people with Epilepsy. Does anyone know what they are called, and where I can purchase one. Also, if you know of any other products, resources, or helpful tips that you can advise me of, it will be appreciated.

hi, again. i went looking some more and found some overseas sites that have the pillow information you wanted. sleep.safe.co.uk. another is manufaturabrasil.com.br/goldenpillow_en.html These are a couple of site. the principle sounds reasonable, but i could not find any in the u.s. I have my opinion, but it is not right to put my opinion on you. it is right to help you find the information you seek. hope it helps. rikk

do they make them yes. the sites i found where on page 3-4 on the search. the pedi., neuro treatment centers use padded surfaces,and some sort of side rail protection. the pillows they use, are hospital are regular pillows that are used to try and keep childern tilted to the side. check the pedi-neuro site and find the information that you are most comfortable with. Most hospitals have an information center. check the pages here for the start. i wish you luck in finding the information. hope it helps. rikk
