Adult on set epilepsy I think?

My fiancé the love of my life the mom to my amazing daughters (age 1 and 2) for the last year has been having random seziures first one was a surprise one the 37 years she’s been alive she’s never had one then kept happening more and more frequently to the point it was about once a week there is no sign what so ever of one coming on she seems perfectly fine then out of no where she has a full on seziure I got her on some natural stuff such as Cbd a few times a day and two formulas made by herbally grounded one called think one called chill I got her to stop drinking Red Bull and was very consistent with this recipe and was seziure free for 2 and a half months I thought they were done and we beat them But because of the very pricey think and chill supplements she stopped taking them and eventually started drinking Red Bull again I know dumb on my part but they’ve started again and it seems like every time she has one she is a little less herself I’m going to start the process all over again no matter how much money it takes it worked before but this time I’ll stick to it for as long as we live! but I just wanted to ask if Red Bull has been a problem for anyone els or if anyone has any tips for any of this I am very new to it and it scares the shit out of me! I would appreciate any feed back thank you!

I've never tried Red Bull.  I

I've never tried Red Bull.  I have enough problems just drinking hot chocolate.  With prescription medications that treat seizures doctors and patients are informed to withdrawal slowly because sudden changes can cause increased seizures.  I don't know if cbd is a prescription drug yet (meaning it is tested and approved by FDA) but it is believed to have anticonvulsant effects.  I imagine the on / off / on pattern of using cbd or any strong caffeinated drink like Red Bull could lower the "seizure threshold" which means a person with epilepsy is more likely to have seizures.  Stick to a treatment.  Also make notes of treatment and seizures; this will help you confirm a patterns related to any drinks or herbal remedies.

Thank your for your response

Thank your for your response it is very much appreciated! We are really trying to stay away from all the prescribed medication that’s turns you into a zombie seeing as we have 2 baby girls under two we are still waiting for the neurologist apt as there apts are a few months out but until then I think we will start from the beginning of what worked for that 2 months but if that doesn’t work I guess we will have to try the prescriptions because again we have 2 daughters under to and if we can go the natural way I’ll find a way to fork out the money but if not I just want to do what’s best for the family this is just all very new to me and scares the shit out of me!

There are anti-seizure drugs

There are anti-seizure drugs which do leave patients drowsy and can confuse the thinking, but if her condition responds to medication (%75 of persons with epilepsy get complete and comfortable control through drug therapy) there is a good chance she can find one that will not do this too much.  If affording the medications is an issue tell the doctor.  They can usually provide patients with samples.  It's inconvenient to pop out every individual pill from these packages, but they are free.  Drug companies provide these to the doctors and they are free to issue them to those who need help.Medications and the list of side effects they can cause are scary.  But those unpredictable seizures are unpleasant and scary as well.  Which scares you more?
