Alesse and seizures

Wed, 04/26/2006 - 14:27
Has anyone used Alesse? I am not on seizures meds, just antidepressants at the moment. I refuse to take any more medication until they start running tests to begin ruling out other possibilities. The doctor just slapped me on the antidepressants without looking into the possibility of their being a physical cause to my anxiety. Anyway, the reason I'm asking about the BC is, two of my sisters went on BC. The oldest, who has seizures, started having more frequent seizures when she went on it. The other sister, had some serious negative mood effects. Now, the last two weeks, I feel like I am living in a fog. Every few days.... or some days every few hours, my head starts to buzz. My ears start to ring. It feels like someone is holding the sides of my head and pressing in. I also feel like I'm falling...tipping over to the right. My vision keeps phazing and it's throwing me off. Last night I got so sick. I was so sure it was the birth control. The doctor swore up and down it wasn't. Told me it was the 24 hour flu (but I'd been fine all day and I'm fine today, the whole thing was 30 minutes, by my husband's watch). There are a lot of threads on birth control on here, I was just wondering if anyone had experienced anything like this. I am thinking of going of the pill next month to see if it makes a difference.
