Diet Plans - do they impact seizure frequency

Mon, 08/14/2006 - 19:49
What do women in here think about diet plans? Weight Watchers? South Beach? All that jazz? I know I could stand to loose some weight. I'm debating joining a gym to do it. Every time I seem to mention that thought it makes my mom happy and she talks about these diet plans and says maybe we could do this together..or that..and the latest is join weight watchers. I know she's doing this because she cares and wants to be supportive. My thing. I'm on Topomax (200mg/day) Keppra (500mg 2xday), Clobazam (10mg at night) a birth control pill (minestrin). Keppra is new to me as of June and things may re-adjust again in September when I see my specialist in Toronto. Sometimes it's tough enough to go through the medicine transitions without worrying about counting calories too. How does everyone else juggle it all? My theory - cut out the fast food stops from time to time and the decadent drinks from Tim Horton's and Second Cup and I'd be way better. I think that's all I gotta do, but then part of me thinks my mom might be right. So, I guess the question is - can diet plans impact the overall number of seizures people have?
