When you approach this age(perimenapause and menapause) we have to take into more concideration for the type of med you choose. For some are better than others and some can have effects more on our hormones too. During this time, our progesterone levels will decrease and estrogen levels will increase. WHich when the levels of progesterone go down our seizures begin even more. Talk with your neurologist and your obgyn, but dont do anything unless you talk with the other. But also go back to your neuro first if any medications, creams .. are perscribed. I personally take a progesterone cream made by my compound pharmacist. I am on a very high dose right now, which my neuro has talked with me about. I have info in my group under links and files take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/
