new and old meds---new studies--insurance refusal///anyone with these problems getting meds?
Tue, 01/24/2006 - 10:49Topic: Advocate for Epilepsy
its a new year with new insurance.even for disabled folks we pay $5 and $3 for prescription drugs we need to controle our disabilaties.thats not all though.
medication prices goes up up up$$$$ and for those without insurance or cheap insurance we pay for are refusing to pay for meds due to high prices.those without insurance would pay between $100 to $600 for a one month supply of certain AEDs.
HOW MANY HAVE HAD THERE MEDS REFUSED BY INSURANCE COMPANIES?bet i can find any and almost all email and Phone #s for government listings along with insurance companis who pay for our meds.
i dont mind paying the $3 and $5 for meds, but when refused by insurance it gets my head spinnin.
we get a list of folks with insurance problems who state their problems, maybe we could all write our statements up here on our forums along with any other groups we visit, print and fax, email, then call our insurance compainies making sure they read between the lines and due the same with our local and national congress.
Any other ideas and thoughts would be taken by our group and spoken about before action is taken.
HAS THIS BEEN DONE IN THE PAST?
well i garontee it though i havent been seeking that info yet, only patients who need meds i seek sofar.
I KNOW THERE ARE OTHER ADVOCATES OUT THERE WHO KNOW ABOUT OUR NEW 2006 PROBLEMS WITH INSURANCE AND MEDICATION ISSUES.
LETS MAKE AN EFFORT TO JUST BUG THESE FOLKS HAND AND HAND,WRITE YOUR PROBLEMS DOWN HERE,AFTER A WHILE WE PRINT,EMAIL,AND FAX ALL ISSUES TO CONGRESS AND INSURANCE CO'S THEN POSSIBLY TO THE PRESS WHEN ENOUGH ISSUES ARE HERE.
we could just make a pact, group up and bug them.till they cant take nomore!
?????????????????????ANYONE?ELSE????????????????????????????
