T.V viewing & computer usage with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy

Fri, 04/15/2005 - 12:02

TVs and computers have a "flickering" we cannot see, but it's there.  JME is a photosensative epilepsy, so depending if the faster flash frequencies are your triggers or the intensity - or both, may or may not reduce your seizure frequency while sitting on front of a computer monitor or TV with sunglasees or screen covers.  I understand (but haven't a definative on this yet) that the plasma screens are less likely to trigger seizures in those with photosensitive epilepsy.
