Memory issue first time ever

Had 2 Gran Mal nearly 2 months ago and my kevtam dosage was doubled. Today was at work having planned my next 2 lessons when walking to them I suddenly could not remember what class, where I was meeting them and what we were doing or had done. Was rather scared. Went to the location the class would meet and bluffed my way through, figuring out what we were supposed to be doing as we went. An hour later had to do the same with the next group.
Is this common amongst epileptic sufferers or could it have been the result of a Petit Mal?
Really hoping this was just a one off.
