Has anyone tried this new drug? It was FDA approved in June of 05. My daughter is just about at where they want her with it. She is coming off of the Felbatol that she was on. She is also on Zonegram, Lamictal, Trileptal and Clonazepan for seizures. We are going to try to get rid of one or two more of the drugs and see how she does. She has seizures daily.

Well tomorrow my daughter has been on the new med for one week at full dose. We ended up in e.r. yesterday. She had a seizure that I had never seen before. At about 9:30 she went totally limp. Could not get a response from her at all. That was until about 10:30 or so. Her breathing was shallow but good. It sure was scary seeing her like that. We took her off an antibiotic she was on for her ankle infection. Last night was the first night she also slept through in about 3 weeks.

How much lyrica is your daughter on? I have been on it since Nov. I took a break with it around christmas time. I began again last week. Tuesday, I had a grand mal seizure(which I only have cp) and I ended up in the ER. Not because of the seizure, but because I hit my head. I got a gash in the back and I had to get three staples in my head.
Lyrica is making me hungry and I am starting to gain weight. That is all I need.

ToMany, I remember reading that they had the new drug, Lyrica, out. I couldn't find much information on it at the time, but will see if I can more success looking it up now. I will post any info I find on this thread in the future. Please keep us posted on how she does on it. I would love to know if she shows improvement. I'm truly hoping she does. We're pulling for her!
