Lyrica

Has anyone tried this new drug? It was FDA approved in June of 05. My daughter is just about at where they want her with it. She is coming off of the Felbatol that she was on. She is also on Zonegram, Lamictal, Trileptal and Clonazepan for seizures. We are going to try to get rid of one or two more of the drugs and see how she does. She has seizures daily.

Lisa: First I am sorry this has taken so long to get to you. My daughter was in the hospital for outpatient surgery and was actually admitted after surgery due to infection (staph) in her ankle. Just got home last night. She is on 150 mg in the a.m. and 200 mg in the night time. Her eating has improved a lot also. That is one of the side effects. Have you noticed any changes in your seizures since being on the new med?

Hope your daughter is doing well after surgery? I am on 300 morn 200 lunch 200 din 200 night. I had to increase it for I was having a bunch of auras. I am on trileptal and I am weaning off to lyrica. Last week I ended up with a grand mal( I only have cp). I banged my head and had to have three staples in my head. Not sure why it happened for there was no warning. SO I am not sure if it was from the Lyrica or I was just a bit too low on trileptal and lyrica. I think it is from the trileptal. When I took the morning dose away, the next day I had a grand mal. But I am a bit more hunger of course!! :( But otherwise have not noticed anyother changes. take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/

I dont know if I am going off of trileptal yet. take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/groups/epilepsyapproach/
