Meds Refusal by a teen, Do any I.M. meds exist?

Wed, 03/01/2006 - 11:34
Are there any alternative methods to give meds for epilepsy? My son is very paranoid and refusing all my mouth medicines. I am very scared for him. Any suggestions? He would take an injection oddly enough either under the skin or intramuscular.

Thanks for the response. It would be a wonderful idea and I appreciate you so much for responding. Unfortunately, it is law here that patients must be aware of any medicine given given to them, even though he is a minor. He refuses everything by mouth. Do you know of anything else at all? Again, thanks so much! Andrea

I am not sure I understood your response, but you never meantioned the medication he was on in the past. I didnt mean for you to give it him yourself, by all means a doctor has to PERSCRIBE that particular medication. talk with your doctor Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/
