A complete blood count should be done it's called (cbc) this will help determine what level the medicine is at. You never want it to go below 12 or over 25. 25 is the max any thing over this will be toxic. And in some cases they allow this to occur. When ever blood work is needed or you feel it should be done you usually would get from your Doc. nurse a lab work paper indicating what needs to be tested, in all cases it will have med. listed for the lab tech. If you are still wondering you should talk to your son's nurse about your concerns.
