Ginny Morgan is 12 now. She started having seizures when she was four but she had a big gap until a few years ago. Anyway, I believe its hormones now. The Lamictal stopped working so we were ready for a change. So far so good. The Zonegran seems to be working. I don't want to speak to soon.

I'm both sorry you can't find your post, and to hear what's happening. Hormone changes can be pesky things when they kick in. You might find some useful info in these links. If you are really worried, then it might be wise to call your healthcare provider? Take care, and hang in there. http://www.zonegran.com/ http://www.epilepsy.com/medications/b_zonegran_intro.html

My teen-age daughter was on Zonegran for 18 months, prescribed by her neurologist in Phoenix. She became depressed and was suicidal, requiring hospitalization. The neurologist repeatedly said there was not a relationship between depression and Zonegran. We erroneously assumed the depression was due to the recent diagnosis of epilepsy. Depression disappeared within 6 to 8 weeks of discontinuing Zonegran. Now know doctor was wrong and we have new doctor. Barbi
