I'm with you on this whole lack of support. I also have a B.S. in Psychology and Criminal Justice, and Certified Paralegal, and I also can't find work. No legal placed will take me because of the surgery I had the crack my skull open and it is plated with Titanium. No even our own military will take me.
I have applied fro 300 jobs, I even tried to find work with Epilepsy seeing I had it at one point in my life. After surgery though I am find, but like you I can't find work.
I actually find it very insulting that Epilepsy Organization have not even polite to write me back seeing I know everything about Epilepsy seeing I under went all of the test and had brain surgery.
It suck that's all I can say, Good Luck

Have you tried an employment agency to help you find a job? I know what you're going thru in Philadelphia,Pa, I know how you feel, I live in dreary Erie, PA, and good jobs are far and few here. Is relocating an option for you? I'm waiting for a settlement from Disability, then I'm heading back out west to Las Vegas, NV where I lived for 11 years. I know for a fact they are hurting for people to fill jobs out there. My brother lives out there, and will help me get up and running once I get there.
Edit to add: Are you on Disability? I'm looking for a government job through disability, and there is a preference for Americans with disabilities. I 'm looking into a job with the Postal Service. In my attempt to get into the Postal service, my Father is retired from the Postal service, and a few years ago, was able to help me get temporary work there around the holidays. The pay is decent, and the working conditions are nice if you work inside. I didn't work there long enough, but there is room for advancement. I worked inside, so there was no driving to it. I couldn't have driven even if I wanted to because of my Epilepsy.
