The question I would need to

The question I would need to ask is HOW MANY MEDICATIONS HAVE YOU BEEN ON? Have your dosages been changed from time to time while you were growing up. A change in weight or hormonal changes do affect the medication. Unless dosages were raised or lowered then that medication did not get looked at fully. Once put on a medication it takes the body time to get used to it. Once that happen it takes at least 1 month to find out if it is controlling the seizures at all. If it has reduced the seizures then dosage adjustments need to be raised or lowered, So when trying a medication it can take 3-6 months to find out if it is helping and which way to go. It takes a month for all the medication you are getting off of after you have taken the last pill.I have tried many different medications,As for hitting your head hard. It can be a cause if you were knocked for a second or two. If you were given a concussion it could have caused  a hemoragh to the brain. That can cause scared brain tissue. The scar tissue can keep the electrical impulses from hitting right all the time. I know that is what causes mine. The fall I had was when I was 7 and I started having seizures about 5 years laterAnswers??? Yes get answers to your questions at every visit you have with your neurologist. Why isn't this medication controlling my seizures" What can be done to help get my meds to control my seizures better? Can we add another medication to help this one? Or is there another medication that can control my seizures better? Are there any procedures that can help control my seizures?  You see what I mean? That is how I got help in reducing my seizures down to 6-8 a month. They lasted 2-8 minutes and the time to get normal was another 25-45 minutes. A few more questions and medication change got them down to 3-4 a month. Coupling that medication with another and it got them down to a seizure every 8-14 days. The medications not only got the seizures down they also reduced the time in them and after then. My seizures last a couple of seconds and I can have one while talking to you and you would know nothing about it . So ask questions.I hope this helps Joe
