Need Urgent Help

Hey guys my name is Hui.

Im actually posting this on behalf of my cousin who is in hospital suffering constant seizures (1-5 a hour).

The EEG clearly shows him having seizures but the doctors are still unable to find out what’s wrong with him. They have been running tests on him for the last 2 weeks or so nonstop.

I will start from the beginning.

Apparently 4-5 weeks ago he had a general seizure and fell and hit his head on the ground. He bled quiet a bit and was taken to the emergency department. The doctors gave him the all clear even though he has never had any health problems and just had a seizure (he is 30 something years old but never had it).

Four days after that fall he started to develope symptoms where he would be unable to verbalize what he wants to say and had a mild form of ringing in his ear. He then goes to the doctors on and off but they unable to find anything in the scans and tests they do. He started to be unable to understand the meaning of things. He knows the individual words but cant put them together to figure out the meaning.

About 3 weeks into it and the "episodes" (seizures) got worst. He had another generalized seizure then about a seizure every half hour to an hour. I took him to the ER where he had what seemed like simple partial seizure with secondary generalization. Since then he has got progressively worst.

He currently has 2 times of seizures.

First one is where he would have control of his motor functions but he is deafened by the ringing in his ear. Second one is where he freezes and cant move. Both of these last about a minute eat.

Just this week (about week 5 from the initial fall) he is getting twitches in the mouth/jaw line and blinking eyes. It seems to be only happening on the right side of his body.

Now since the doctors asked there are a few things we found out. My cousin had been dry vomiting daily in the mornings for the last 6 months up until he had his seizure but nothing since then. He also has a mild ringing in his ear for about 2 months before the first seizure.

Another thing is that his father in-law in all his wisdom bought and cooked a farm reared duck 4 days after the accident for my cousin, right before he started getting the constant partial seizures.

Now I don’t know if anything has to do with anything (grasping at straws really) but have anything I have written seem familiar? I would like to get some idea as to what he has to give the doctors some kind of direction.
