New to Epilepsy - Here to support

Sun, 02/04/2018 - 15:12
Hi all. I am new to the forum, here to learn more about research, advocacy, and education. I am part owner of a CBD company that instituted a system whereby every sale triggers a $1 donation to a research organization of the customer’s choice. Epilepsy was the first cause selected to receive donations. We want to learn more about epilepsy, find more ways to help, and keep up to date on research. We also hope to participate, as a company, in fundraisers beyond our sales, and we hope this forum will help us find more opportunities to be active in the community. Stay Strong!!!!!!

One of the issues is it is not approved in some states so heck with the EFA to find out what needs to be done there and the testing that they have to do to get it approved

There are many different

There are many different things MJ can help with. If calms down the central nervous system and by doing that the electrical impulses are slowed down some which helps them hit right for some people. What causes a epileptic seizure is an electrical impulse hitting wrong or abnormally in the brain. That wrong hit causes a chain reaction. Which is the seizure itself. <<That is the simplest terms to use to tell people what a seizure is. There are many different types of seizures. By calming down the central nervous system those abnormalities are slowed down and like medications they can stop seizures. There is no magic wand to wave since there are many different causes and with many people there is no cause found. What can CBD do to stop an abnormal impulse hitting wrong here scared brain tissue is?We've done some research and actually written some blogs about awareness related to Epilepsy with our novice understanding.   <<<< Research the doctors offices that do testing and the FDA and find out about all the testing done on medications. Believe me that is one thing that needs to be changed. Understand that testing is done for years. Once approved the FDA asks the makers how much they will let another country pay for it after the testing is paid for. The maker gives they the price and then the FDA tells them to have the countries pay that price before the testing is paid for. Meaning we have a higher price since we are paying for the years of testing. I found out some of this which isn't much because I have been in tests done by one of the offices here in Texas.

Hi everyone, First of all, thank you to anyone interested in promoting epilepsy awareness, education and research. I want to share a word of caution that not all cannabis, medical marijuana products are the same - in fact they can be vastly different Do not read results of controlled clinical trials of one product and assume it means the same for other cannabis products. Thank you, epihelp
