I just looked up Ortho-Novum and it sounded like it would work until I got to the part were it mentioned what would decrease its effectiveness. Regardless I'll look into it. I thought I should let you know what meds I'm on and why my doctor would still say no: Felbatol 600mg 2tablets/3 times a day, Zonegran 100mg 2caps/2 times, Lamictal 200mg 2tabs in the morning, 1 1/2 at night, Tranxene 11.25mg 1 at night So as you can see I take a lot, at least in my opinion. I know there are others out there who take far more than I do so I should be grateful but all I'm asking is that I can take birth control. I did before when I was on my meds but that was ages ago.

Ask your doctor about IUD's (Intra-Uterine Devices). They are perfect for any woman who can't take oral contraceptives. Many people don't know about them or think they're unsafe because there were problems with them in the 70's, but the have recently returned to the market after safety issues were addressed. I've had one in me for over a year and have had no problems and no pregnancy scares. They can even reduce the frequency of your period!!!

Has anyone had success with Keppra and the pill? I want to go on birth control but am not certain as I've heard that anti-seizure meds and birth control pills cancel each other out. How can i be on Keppra and not get pregnant?
