Brain Surgery is done & i'm home!!!!!!

It's finally over. The cyst is gone. I'm healing well and things are going alright. I just had the staples removed this week and my head is healing pretty well and things are going alright. I have to take at easy for the next month but i'm okay. The cyst is gone and i'm so happy. Hopefully no more seizures ever happen. My memory is give and take sometimes with different things and my body is very weak but i'm taking at easy and healing pretty darn well. I can't work until mid november, doctors orders, so i'll make it. And i'm visiting the doctor every 3 or 4 weeks just to make sure its all good. The scar is huge on the left side of my head but it's well worth it now that the cyst is all gone. :) I'll be here on and off, the screen needs some time on my eyes and head in the beginning with these headaches and my eyes, but i'm okay, just healing now and taking it easy.....Kelly G.

Thank you Dawn. I hope all goes well for you too. I feel good after the fact and my fears weren't half as bad as I thought. Don't be scared, be happy. My seizure causing cyst is finally gone after 11 years of monthly seizures and things are going well. My mouth hurts when taking alot of bites of food after they cut through the jaw muscle, but all is healing well. That is my only real complaint. So small bites of soft food are the answer for the next few weeks. Its all good for now. I have to get back into walking and using the body, eyes and my memory, but i'm okay and healing bit by bit. As long as the seizures are over, i'll deal with the little stuff. :) And all my hair will grow back that I had to shave off for the surgery. Thanks and good luck to you, too. Congrads on your surgery! I had surgery a few years ago so I know you will feel so much better about yourself! I know that you will enjoy life, after the surgery is over.

Hi Kelly, Glad to hear all is well. I am scheduled to go in for my LTL surgery to remove scar tissue after the first of the year and am a little scared as you can well imagine. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you feel better soon! Dawn ;-)
