Do any of you tend to push people close to you out of your lives for no good reason? I have a wonderful, loving fiancee and I keep wanting to push her out of my life. She is fully accepting and loving of me and would do anything for me.

If your fiancee is totally excepting of you and would do anything for you, why would you want to get rid of someone as good as that? I've met plenty of guys who have been complete jerks and wouldn't except the fact that I had this condition but my boyfriend is very excepting of me and will do just about anything for me.

There's many reasons for pushing people out of your life... maybe you ought to take a really close look at your relationship and see if there isn't an underlying reason? I hate to say it, but perhaps you don't feel as strongly about her as you think you do. Otherwise, with the fact that she loves you and cares about you so much, there ought to be no problems. Good luck!

ccampbell020,

I don't know if you, or your fiancee, or both of you has epilepsy, but think of this matter on her side. What would you do and how would you resond if YOU were the one being pushed away.

I got something to tell you and everyone else you reads this, especially to the person on here who knows about me.

I posted something on here about abdominal epilepsy back around January 2005, and one person on here recognized my user name and realized that I am also in with the epilepsy foundationÂ’s community group. This person sent me a private message through the foundation connection, exchanged our email address and we have been replying to each other ever since then. She and I both have epilepsy. But hereÂ’s the best part. She and I have fallen in love with one another, even though we are a few states apart in travel distance, and are making plans to meet together soon face-to-face. I finally have a girlfriend.

Yeah, I have epilepsy, so what. With what has happened to me and over the past few years, IÂ’ve realized that if other people donÂ’t care enough about even being friends, oh well. I someone else isnÂ’t interested in becoming friends with me then I must accept it, use my time more wisely and continue onward with my own life. I have learned how to handle my life even though I have epilepsy and taking the my time to talk and help other people who are new, need and must know about epilepsy, so they can handle it just as well.

My girlfriend has shared her story with me about the experiences and rough times sheÂ’s gone through. Very hurt and scared inside her heart. But she is now opening up to me because of the tool IÂ’m using. That tool is my heart.

If I wasn't pushed out of the church back in late 2001, which I was a member with for almost 6 years, then I probable wouldn't be where I'm at now.
