No! I was taking Depakote previously, and basically was a zombie losing hair and getting quite pudgy. Depakote and I didn't work out. I slept for over 14 hours a day, lost memory, was "up tight" and the quality of my life, basically sucked. Doc switched me over to lamactil over a year ago, and I am once again leading a normal productive life. People who know me cannot believe the difference.

Lamictal always kept me awake. But trileptal can decrease low sodium so get that checked often. It will cause seizures if it gets too lowhttp://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/EpilepsyApproach/
