Topic: Medication Issues

Does anyone know if you are on his medication

1. Does it make you gain weight

2. Does it make you use the washroom alot more

As for it does both,was wondering if this was normal reaction to the drug

Trileptal can cause low sodium and if it gets too low it will cause a grand mal. I crave more sodium and that causes weight gain. I gained 20 pounds since I have been on it. I think it really has helped me except for the weight gain and the problems with the low sodium.http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/EpilepsyApproach/Lisa

I was taking trileptal for about a month. I gave me bumps all over my body, my headachs came back, I had to stay home from school and when I finally went to the doctor he said that it might be because im allergic to it. That was on Monday. Im starting Keppral tomorrow and I still have the bumps on my legs. If it gets to bad call your doctor.

I was wondering from taking trileptal does anyone hurt on their arms and legs. When I wrap my legs around the chair when I sit, it hurts like hell. ALso when my kids just poke me it hurts badly on my arms. Could this be from the trilptal? The doctors dont know what it is from. They thought it was from the phenobarbital, but now I am not on it anymore and still have the problem. Somone said it could be from synthoid, my thyroid meds.Anyone have this problem?http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/EpilepsyApproach/Lisa
