Weight

Does anyone have problems with their weight due to certain medications they are taking for epilepsy?I have reached an all time high with my weight and my neurologist says my medication contributes to it. I am taking Diamox 500mg twice daily, Lamictal 200mg twice daily, Zanaflex 4mg at night and hormones (Premarin 2.50 mg once daily) due to having a hysterectomy.I thought medications like Diamox were supposed to help with weight loss...maybe the combinations of medications might throw that idea out the window??I move around a lot...I have to because I look after my mother 24/7 because she can barely walk anymore. I don't think it's lack of exercise.I've got to lose weight...anyone have any ideas on that also? Thanks all.

I know this may sound really silly - but - when I was looking for a job and my weight was way over the top - we're talking 320 - I forced myself to walk to job interviews that were in town instead of taking the bus - it was 15 minutes. On my off time I would get up in the morning and walk around the block even if it was just once. Over the course of 3 months not realizing it I lost 70 lbs. and 4 pant sizes because I forced myself to move. I was still battling the meds side effect of gaining weight - but just the fact that I made myself stop being idle and sitting in front of the tv all day or the computer... it helped.

I am still battling it... and I still have to make myself get up and go... but it feels alot better when I do... I used to constantly be ill with something - now hardly ever... I think they go hand in hand. Fresh air does alot of good.
