Surgery Problems 2 Yrs Ago - Major Headaches Now

Wed, 07/02/2008 - 18:34

Hello Everybody !  It has been two years since I had surgery - it still feels like it was only a couple of months ago.  I want to know if anybody had surgery more than one time because of complications?????  I had five surgeries because of fluids and blood collecting in my brain and after a week or two the stitches broke and the liquids gooshed out (not to make anybody sick over this).  I get headaches ALL the time since the surgery and sometimes I wonder if it was worth what I did?  I had grandmal seizures and petite mal seizures every other day; but I still managed to get Married (11 years now) and have two great kids (no seizures with them - thank god).    PLEASE LET ME TALK TO SOMEBODY with similar stories????  Thank you.

I am at Jennyrose2kids@aol.com

I had a rtl 4 yrs ago and I still have bad headaches on the right side of my head resulting from the surgery. Sometimes it doesnt take much for me to get one, sometimes just a loud sound or picking up something too heavy. Sometimes just sleeping on that side of my head will cause me to wake up w/ one. The neuosurgeon has a "oh well" atitude about it. About the only thing I have found that I can do when I get one is go lay down w/o any noise or light around. harry@scrtc.com
