Surgery twice

Sat, 01/17/2009 - 00:22

Has anyone here had surgery more than one time because the first time didnt work for them? I had surgery in 2006. After the first couple months I thought everything had gone well but then I started having seizures again. So, since then I have started back at the first step and am told it is okay to have surgery again. So, has anyone had surgery more than once and it finally worked for them?

I did., the first time I had was back when I was 17 it was done on the left partial lobe to remove where the segiors where coming from. That went pretty well the doctor at the time said in the near future I might need another due to the fact I did a lot of jerking and didn't stay still. My remark "Well you want to switch, I'll be happy to drill you anytime" Why do think she's my former doctor. Anyway I went from humilating myself which is a bit (not much jerking) and being repetitive with my famous line of "ug, hug" each and every time I had a segior. to top it off I was also forgetful. After it was done my life changed for the best but the segiors where not as controlled as I wanted and I went from 4 pills a day to 18. so it was sugested to either the second surgery or try vagal nerver stimulator. Which I choose VNS (for short) I regret trying it because it didn't work for me it was removed and I now have a scar which is above my chest believe me you can't miss. It looks aweful. The doctor I now have has tried to find the correct combination of medication and lowered it back down. He has me down to 8 1/2 belive me that's way better then 17.
