My wife has had epilepsy since she was 12 years old both grand and petit mal seizures, she would have petit mal between 2-4 a week and grand mal between 1-2 a year. I read an article by Dr.Tim Betts about aromatherapy and reflexology and I started giving her massages on her  feet and also giving her a B complex 100mg 1 a day with a multi vitamin and she has petit mal now maybe 1 amonth and in 2 and a half years no grand mal. There is a web site for Mr.Betts I'm sure it can be found with a search. Maybe this might work for someone. Also lots of rest and a healthy diet.

The DEA financed some research into illicit drug taking and certain medical conditions, a decade or two ago. They pulled the finances when it showed that MJ helped MS and epilepy. I'm told that most sedatives have the ability to stop status, and MJ has sedation qualities, so.................................

My mother has glucoma, and i won't let nothing stop her supply, and i would show total contempt at laws stopping terminal cancer patients getting heroin. These drugs can never be made freely available, and extremely tight controls are needed. There are exceptions to the rule though, like my mother still having her eyesite, and people like me reducing my sez's, and not going status.

I really envy all the posts on here that talk about how MJ helps them. I have what is called a Subependymal Heterotopia - a congenital defect that has now caused me to have my first grand mal, and I may have other seizures...who knows. My diagnosis is not complete yet. It's still pending.I've had my share of smoking MJ in my young 20's (I am now 28) and I try to smoke it now, and I feel all these strange feelings which might be aura's. The night before I had my seizure, I was enjoying a few drinks, smoked a joint, and the next day, I had a grand mal. Now, I can't even enjoy it.I vowed never to smoke it again. But if I knew it would help me I might dabble once in a while...I'm too afraid to. Therefore, I'm sticking to my vow.Why doesn't it help me then? I wonder....
