no periods with Trileptal?

Hi - For about the past five months or so, I have basically had no period when it was time. I've taken a pregnancy test and that is not the reason. My meds have changed around some but I have consistently been on 900-1200mg of Trileptal a day. Has this affected anyone else? I have had a particularly stressful spring and summer so I know that this could be a cause also. Thanks for any input.

I just wanted to share that when i was on depakote, my period visited me overtime. I had to go on birth control to "even" it out. For 2 weeks, I had the heaviest period you could possibly imagine. Not pretty. I was borderline anemic when they realized that I needed to go on the Pill to stop it.

I haven't gotten a period for 8 months now, and I'm about to get a prescriptin for natural progesterone to see if that will trigger my body. I'll let everyone know the outcome.

Hi - Just wanted to share my story...I'm not on Trileptal, but I've been taking Depakote for 11 years for JME (750 mgs a day) and that has messed up my hormones in a big way. Estrogen, progesterone, all way low and testosterone, way high. Didn't get a period for over a year!!! I decided to wean off Depakote and try Keppra, and hopefully my hormones level out. I also hope I don't see any increased seizure activity when my hormones do go back to normal. It's a relief to know there's other women out there who HAVEN'T had it in a while. It feels gross, like I'm not flushing my system out. Hope you can find some peace soon since you've been stressed lately. Good luck!
