what shall i do

i have been diagnosed with epilepsy and am currently on keppra 2000gm and lamictal 200mg daily however it is not helping me and i am still haveing very strong seizures they last about 3mins and i normally hit my head on something. they are grand mal. i have lost all confidence in myself and just dont want to go out what shall i do? im only 19!

hi i reached the max dose of lamictal with no affect which is why they combind it with keppra. keppra has done the same thing to me where temprament is concerned i am always in a mood and just cant contain my agression i have had to buy a punch bag to take it all out on. !!!!!!

Hi. It sounds like the keppra is doing a number on you. How long have you been on the drug? You might consider another med? I would mention this to my neuro before it gets totally outer limits for you. The fits of unprovoked aggression seemed to snow-ball while I was on the drug. It was horrible. I can only shake my head in remebrance. It was such a terrible time. Gosh. I certainly hope you get control of the anger level again real soon. I personally don't think it's healthy to take a drug that changes your behavior to be angry with aggression. When you have uncontrolled anger bad things happen. Much hope to you mi amigo. Linda.
