Home from having Brain Tumor removed

Thu, 05/12/2005 - 22:28
hello there,I have posted many times here and thought I would update all of you on my progress. A week ago yesterday I had brain surgery to have a right temporal lobe meninigoma brain tumor removed. The surgery lasted about 7 hours. The tumor was larger than is presented on my many MRI's. It was actually about the size of a golf ball. It also had started growning into my skull. I was finally released from the hopsital on Tuesday. I have double vision all of the time and am hopeful this will go away once all of the swelling is gone. I continue to take my zonegram for seizures, and all is well in that area. I ask that for those of you this does not offend, to please keep my and my husband in your prayers for a quick and event free recovery ~ my hubby is so precious and dear and is here for my every want and need is provides such wonderful care.Thank you for all the wonderful advice that is provided here on this board! Love to you all,Kelli

Hi Kelli,You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers too. You have been through so much.I also have a meningioma the size of a golf ball in my left occipital lobe which they do not want to remove because I also have another (different) type of the infiltration in the brain.I hope that your symptoms subside for you soon.Take care,Joannie

Kelli. Get well soon. Know that God is with you. He is Jehovah-Raffe the God who heals thee. I will pray for you too. Blessings to you for a speedy recovery. Linda. (I hope that no one is offended by what I have said here!)
