Home from having Brain Tumor removed

Thu, 05/12/2005 - 22:28
hello there,I have posted many times here and thought I would update all of you on my progress. A week ago yesterday I had brain surgery to have a right temporal lobe meninigoma brain tumor removed. The surgery lasted about 7 hours. The tumor was larger than is presented on my many MRI's. It was actually about the size of a golf ball. It also had started growning into my skull. I was finally released from the hopsital on Tuesday. I have double vision all of the time and am hopeful this will go away once all of the swelling is gone. I continue to take my zonegram for seizures, and all is well in that area. I ask that for those of you this does not offend, to please keep my and my husband in your prayers for a quick and event free recovery ~ my hubby is so precious and dear and is here for my every want and need is provides such wonderful care.Thank you for all the wonderful advice that is provided here on this board! Love to you all,Kelli

Kelli,

I had a successful brain surgery 12 1/2 years ago and will never forget the pain I endured.  You and your husband are definitely in my prayers.  I couldn't have made it without my dear hubby by my side.  My situation was a little different, in that they removed my RTL, not a tumor.  But I feel your pain and hope you continue to improve.  Give yourself time and follow doctor's orders.  We get impatient when we're waiting on our body to heal, but it will all be worth it.  Best of luck, Jackie

Hi Kelli,

You are both in my prayers for healing etc. I pray that today is a good day for you.

I have not had this kind of surgery and just diagnosed with E in Dec 04 so can't imagine what this is like but non the less you are in my prayers.
