post op surgery site question

Mon, 04/14/2008 - 11:13

I had right temporal lobe surgery done in '07, and I'm curious to know if anyone who has had this surgery still have, as I call them, little bumps around the surgery site? Although i feel great and have had no seizures thus far, i wonder if anyone else has these. I know it is because of the screws in the skull. They dont hurt, nor are they bothersome. Its kinda "funky" though running my hand across my temple and feeling it. LOL . Anyone? Becky

Regarding the bumps on your head...I did not have screws implanted, but yes, I still have the bumps where the scar is.  When I am stressed out or overtired, it flares up even moreso and becomes sore.  Don't know if that is what you were looking for or not, but I hope it helps.

Thanks for the info,

It's kinda something like that. They arent sore, but i do have one on my right temple that can be noticable, but not a problem. I'm still trying to figure out how it happens. I mean, i know the skull was cut into and screws put in, but why the bumps?  I hope that doesnt sound stupid. Humm, something to ponder:) And now i have a question for you. What do mean by yours flare up? Your bumps?

Take care & God bless, Becky
