Bruce,Isn't Pregablin in the family of Neurontin?Because if it is I can't take it.Neurontin made me suicidal and there's know way I'd take that chance with a med in the sane family. Belinda

Blinda,

I don't know right off what family that one new medication (Pregablin) is in. Went I mentioned it I meant it as being something MY own neuro may change on ME.

I understood what you said the first time and after that as well. You don't want to do anymore medications...You cannot go through any more surgery. Understood.

But I'm greatly suggesting that you need to look at other possible solutions. Yes, there are many people out there who have their seizures controlled by medications; some others by surgery; some by the VNS, and some, mainly children, who's seizures are becoming controlled and stopped by the ketogenic diet. But that is NOT everybody.

So those of us who are not getting anywhere easily, need to look other directions and research other possible alternatives that MAY work for our bodies. Those alternatives include other diets, accupuncture (as scorpio mentioned), possible herbs, vitamin supplements, or something elses which may be helpful, and NO you don't need to go to some far away country to have any of these alternatives done. Something my be very close to the very location where you go to for seeing your doctor.

There is one thing that I'm asking you to do, and that is for you to NOT give up on yourself. Just search for answers that are out there. Someone may have found it themselves, or if not, then you may become the first person who'll locate something beneficial for you and for other people with epilepsy too.

We're here for you. And there are others on here that I'm sure could use your help just as well.

Bruce
