just started keppra

Diagnosed this past year with complex partial seizures. Doc put me on Topomax and I felt like sleeping ALL of the time. He then tried me on lamictal and I had an allergic reaction. They put me on keppra.Any advice, please?? I'm on 500mg twice a day. I've been on it for 3 days. With the seizures and changing of medication, I feel a huge loss of control with my life. Any advice would be appreciated.Michele

Well this morning I woke up to a rash, so I'm allergic to keppra, tegretol, and lamictal. I'm waiting to hear from the doctor's office on what to do. Thanks!

HI, THOSE WERE THE WORST MEDS I EVER HAD. I AM NO LONGER ON THEM.

HI! My husband had great luck with Keppra for about a year and a half. He was seizure free (longest ever) and had limited side effects. My sister is going to start Keppra soon. Hopefully you will have limited effects from it. I know my husband and sister always get upset when they have to try a new medicine not knowing what is going to happen. I wish you the best of luck.
