pregnancy and keppra

Hello everyone
I am 28 years old, female, with JME. My doctor has switched me from Depakote to Lamictal and now Keppra. I take Keppra 1000mg a day. Is there anyone, who is on Keppra, who is pregnant or who has had a baby. There is a ton of information of Lamictal and pregnancy but not much of Keppra and pregnancy. My husband and I want to start planning for a family, but we are VERY nervous. My ob/gyn put me on a prenatal vitamin and extra folic acid. I would appreciate any information from anyone.

I am 25 and planning to get pregnant soon. Currently I am at 1000 mg of Keppra twice a day. How much folic acid did you take? Did you start taking it before getting pregnant or once you were pregnant?

I am 13 weeks pregnant am also on 1000mg twice a day Keppra have been taking 5mg of folic acid for many years, hopeing all gose well

As this was posted almost five years back there is a chance you no longer check this site, but in case you do I just wanted to thank you for this post. Reading about your natural birth while on these meds is a true inspiration. I'm not currently pregnant but do plan on trying and reading your story helped ease some of the fear. Thank you, Alex
