pregnancy and keppra

Tue, 12/27/2005 - 13:01
Hello everyone I am 28 years old, female, with JME. My doctor has switched me from Depakote to Lamictal and now Keppra. I take Keppra 1000mg a day. Is there anyone, who is on Keppra, who is pregnant or who has had a baby. There is a ton of information of Lamictal and pregnancy but not much of Keppra and pregnancy. My husband and I want to start planning for a family, but we are VERY nervous. My ob/gyn put me on a prenatal vitamin and extra folic acid. I would appreciate any information from anyone. -aspepath

Hi I'm a 24 yr old who is 18 weeks pregnant with our first child. I've had JME for about 6 years now and have been placed on Keppra. I was originally on 500 mg 2x a day starting off, which then increased to 750 mg 2x a day due to having some absent seizures again...was then placed on 1500 mg 2x a day about 2 weeks ago due to more seizure acitivity. It is reassuring that there are other woman out there who are going through the same experience and have had healthy babies. I was really discouraged that on the keppra description that the medication would go into the breast milk, however, after seeing a few posts that the amount is minimal gives me hope. I will talk to the doctor in a few weeks about it and I hope it is safe to breastfeed.

This year 2019 has been so

This year 2019 has been so blissful to me for God has given me a reason to live happily again after been heart broken for 3 months when my husband neglected me and went back to he's mistress. I suffered and went through all types of emotional tortures for i couldn't get any help to get my man back not until i was refereed to Lord Zakuza by my co-worker who gave me her full assurance about him that he can be of help to me. I got in touch with Lord Zakuza and i hearken to his words and followed the instructions given to me by him. Could you believe that my husband got back home within 12 to 16 hours as said by him and today, my marriage is restored & i'm so thankful, appreciative & grateful to God for using Lord Zakuza to get my man back after 3 months of broken marriage. Is there anyone out there who needs to get back to he's or her lover back or needs any help of any kind? Then, i suggest that you get in touch with Lord Zakuza now through his Email ID: [email protected] OR you can WhatsApp him too on + 1 (740) 573–9483 for more information. God bless you sir.
