pregnancy and keppra

Topic: Women With Epilepsy

Hello everyone I am 28 years old, female, with JME. My doctor has switched me from Depakote to Lamictal and now Keppra. I take Keppra 1000mg a day. Is there anyone, who is on Keppra, who is pregnant or who has had a baby. There is a ton of information of Lamictal and pregnancy but not much of Keppra and pregnancy. My husband and I want to start planning for a family, but we are VERY nervous. My ob/gyn put me on a prenatal vitamin and extra folic acid. I would appreciate any information from anyone. -aspepath

Hi all, I’m VERY late to this conversation but carried our son fully healthy until full blown labor and had one grand mal seizure before giving birth and one after attempting to breastfeed. I met with many, many doctors, nurses and Lactation consultants and breastfed him for 19 months no complications. It wasn’t recommended but I did research and insisted on finding appropriate answers and he’s healthy, ahead of the curve and continues to flourish and thrive at almost two years. Just thought I’d offer reassurance to anyone out there who’s looking for it. I have an AVM in my right frontal lobe and have had stereotactic Radiosurgery since then. I’d love to talk to anyone who needs an ear or who’d like support!

I have been trying to get

I have been trying to get pregnant. I have had 4 miscarriages all before 10 weeks. I am just devastated. I just turned 35 and everyone keeps asking me when am I gonna have a baby. I don't know what's worse not being able to get pregnant or continued miscarriages. I am so sad and depressed. I feel so alone. No one around me has had issues in <a href="http://www.zhongbahospital.com/infertility/why-you-are-not-getting-pregnant-zhongba-hospital.html">Getting pregnant</a>. I just continue to watch everyone around me have babies. I'm so glad I came here. It feels good to know I'm not alone. God bless all of you ladies. May we all get to become mothers one day.
